New Jade despite its name is not jade but is the trading name of the green beauty of the stone in the group Serpentine. The most common stone we see on the market is the lighter green "Bowenit" but we also can be found in eg Korean Jade. The darker green stone with small black insets "William Site", we can find the name of the Pennsylvania jade. The stone occurs in several colors a.o. colors green, black/green, brown/red and white. Serpentine is a hydrous silicate of magnesium and has a hardness rating of 2.5 - 5.5 on the Mohs scale.
Used as a "healing stone" and said to be good for detoxifying the body and purify the blood.
